The right size for every post

  • Nothing cut off

Fit inside keeps the whole photo and fills the rest with a blurred copy of it, or a plain colour.

  • Every common size

Posts, stories, thumbnails and pins, each at the size the platform shows best.

  • A whole batch at once

Resize a set of photos to the same size and download them together.

  • Private

Photos are resized in your browser and never leave your device.

In detail

Social media image sizes, explained

Fit the whole photo, or fill the frame

Fit inside

The whole photo is kept and placed in the middle. The space around it is filled with a soft, blurred copy of the same photo, so a landscape shot looks at home in a tall story instead of sitting between black bars. White, black or a transparent background are there too.

Crop to fill

The photo fills the whole frame and the edges that don’t fit are trimmed equally from both sides. Use it when the subject is in the middle and the edges don’t matter.

Sizes to choose from

Each one is a ready-made preset. You can also type any width and height.

  • Instagram post: 1080 × 1080 (square) or 1080 × 1350 (portrait)
  • Instagram, TikTok and Facebook story: 1080 × 1920
  • YouTube thumbnail: 1280 × 720
  • Facebook post: 1200 × 630
  • X (Twitter) post: 1600 × 900
  • LinkedIn post: 1200 × 627
  • Pinterest pin: 1000 × 1500

Why the size matters

Every platform shows pictures in its own shape. Upload a photo of another shape and the app crops it for you, often cutting off a head or a caption. Resizing first means you decide what stays in the picture.

The right size also keeps photos sharp: a picture made at the size the platform shows is not shrunk or stretched again after you post it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I post a whole photo on Instagram without cropping it?

Choose an Instagram size, then set Fit to Fit inside. The whole photo is kept and the empty space is filled with a blurred copy of it or a colour you pick.

What size is an Instagram story?

1080 × 1920 pixels, a 9:16 portrait shape. The same size works for TikTok and Facebook stories.

What size is a YouTube thumbnail?

1280 × 720 pixels, a 16:9 shape. Choose the YouTube thumbnail preset to get it exactly.

Can I resize several photos at once?

Yes. Add as many photos as you like; they all get the same size and you can download them together as one ZIP.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. Your photos are never sent to Moriqa or anyone else.

Will my photo lose quality?

Making a photo smaller keeps it sharp. Enlarging can’t add detail that isn’t there, so start from the largest copy of the photo you have.
