How it works

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Step 1: Add your HEIC photos

Choose them or drop them on the page. Batches of photos are fine.

  2. Step 2: Convert on your device

Each photo becomes a JPG in your browser. Switch to PNG if you need a lossless copy.

  3. Step 3: Download your JPGs

Save photos one by one, or grab them all in a single ZIP.

HEIC to JPG

Private, free and fast

  • Never uploaded

Conversion runs in your browser. Your files stay on your device, and nobody else ever sees them.

  • Whole folders at once

Drop in as many files as you like and download them one by one or together in a ZIP.

  • Location data removed

Converted files are saved without the original metadata, so GPS coordinates don’t travel with them.

  • Opens everywhere

JPG works in every app, browser, printer and upload form — no HEIC support needed.

In detail

About HEIC photos

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos by default. It keeps photos looking as good as JPG in noticeably less space.

The catch is compatibility: many Windows apps, websites, upload forms and older devices still can’t open HEIC files. Converting to JPG makes a photo work everywhere.

JPG or PNG?

Choose JPG for sharing, uploading and printing. It is small and universally supported.

Choose PNG when you want a lossless copy to keep editing. The files are several times larger.

Stop your iPhone saving HEIC

If you would rather get JPGs from the start, change one camera setting. Photos you have already taken stay in HEIC.

  • Open Settings and tap Camera.
  • Tap Formats.
  • Choose Most Compatible.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to Moriqa or anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

Does converting HEIC to JPG reduce quality?

JPG is a compressed format, but at the High setting the difference is very hard to see. Choose Maximum quality, or convert to PNG, if you want to keep every detail.

Can I convert many photos at once?

Yes. Select or drop a whole batch of photos. They convert one after another, and you can download them all as a single ZIP.

What happens to Live Photos?

A Live Photo is a still HEIC image plus a short video clip. The still photo is converted; the moving part is not included.

Is the location data removed?

Yes. The JPG is saved without the original photo’s metadata, so GPS coordinates and camera details are not carried over.

Want to edit the photo too?

Open it in Moriqa to crop, adjust and retouch in layers, free in your browser.
